This was a project where we got to work alone but are combining all of our 16x16 panels into one large piece. My artist was Keith Haring and I really enjoyed researching all about him. I recieved 1 or 9 of the panels (bottom, right corner). Left: Corner I referenced

Here is the link to my final project from intro to video with Zerbe: It turned out being my favorite completed piece of work. Under that will be a few links of my other video assignments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcyvJEH4SXQ Above: FACE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HxkReig5Ac Above is my fan vid of the amazing, beautiful Johnny Depp. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubdHXmnIgS8 Above is my narrative assignment based on a doll and dreaming: VER MEARD I went back and added in a second piece to this project in hopes to help create a better illusion and really imply the difference between the shadow and the actual installation. Not as easy I thought. Above is the finished structure without the shadow and below is with the shadow. We are working with mark making and Natalie wanted us to do a drawing that consisted of the sculptures of one of the artists who had an installation set up in Klemm Gallery. This was overwhelming to start but once you get a sense of where things are going it becomes enjoyable. MY DOG SKIP These two images (above and below) were for a drawing hw assignment for Natalie's intro drawing. We had to pick a movie scene that made us cry, pause the screen, and draw the image as well as the plane (phone, laptop etc screen) the sad moment was paused at. Very fun....and emotional! Here the link....if you feel like crying???? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjX7QJwzp-U MAD: image below: I thought documenting this in the style of a Happening would be humorous. Above is a collage I pasted in my sketch book, for fun, plans to paint it. Title: Day-Rive The two paintings (in acrylic) are a set. The assignment was white as a color and black as a color. We had to create 3 collages for each and then pick the best suited collage and paint it. At first I was not fond of this assignment but as they each started to progress I became very attached and amused by this assignment. The black a a color if pretty difficult to see through an image but I am extremely happy with how it turned out! The time put into these was worth it and I learned a lot from these 2.
Both above are Hans Hoffman re-creations, referred to same piece: one color, one greyscale
The video above was my original project that I planned out according to syllabus. I filmed this with my partner Hanna Frost. We did the videos in segments because I wanted to incorporate the stairs as well as the vast majority of the inside of the field house. So I went onto Adobe Premier and combined all the clips into one. The video was first shot at night and then the second shot was during the day. However, the fact the first art was taken at night results in a very dark screen for the beginning of my following video. During the original shooting there was a game being set up and allowed for a bit of motion in the back ground but I was not able to direct the people because it was people preparing for an event. The second filming occurred when the field house was less busy. I made the decision to make another one just in case the cutting and combining was an issue. I had my friend Parker Saenz help me film this one. The first take was at night time which is known do to the lighting. The second film session was done in mid afternoon and allowed for natural lighting and for me to maneuver around the class rooms with the lights off.
Above: Is a photo of my finished flip book. For the title I took one of Yoko Ono's poems into photo shop and cut/paste the letters in the arrangement of the title of my happening. I printed it off traced the letters on the back and then transferred them to the cover of my book. I did this to achieve the style of the text in the book Grapefruit and also it is very similar to printing.....the pages in her book are printed. My hand writing is not very great, hope this solution worked in my professors favor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmFKJRv8-vA The link above is me flipping through my finished book while playing Yoko Ono's music in the background because the assignment was created in regards to her as an artist. I did not have the original video on my phone so I dropped the images in premier, which is why the timing of the video clip is funny (second youtube link). This is Tabitha, my partner, putting wind into the chest cavity of another body...dead body. Having this video in black and white really worked well in my opinion. Especially because of the texture of her jacket and the eeriness feel of the shadow along with the bones. The angle also helped create an interesting composition that throws off the viewer at first. I think its difficult at times to make a decision/selection as a group of the size we had worked in. However, it went smoother than I thought. For the most part we agreed on the definite yes pile and same as we went back and filtered through the maybe and no pile. It took some discussion, questioning, and explaining between the group. So overall it was a laid back process. The main issue was that as a whole we were just denying actions because they didn't seem realistic at first but after we went back through the pile they were very likely to be played out.
