Below are two images of my planning process for the design of my timeline.
Above: Is a photo of my finished flip book. For the title I took one of Yoko Ono's poems into photo shop and cut/paste the letters in the arrangement of the title of my happening. I printed it off traced the letters on the back and then transferred them to the cover of my book. I did this to achieve the style of the text in the book Grapefruit and also it is very similar to printing.....the pages in her book are printed. My hand writing is not very great, hope this solution worked in my professors favor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmFKJRv8-vA The link above is me flipping through my finished book while playing Yoko Ono's music in the background because the assignment was created in regards to her as an artist. I did not have the original video on my phone so I dropped the images in premier, which is why the timing of the video clip is funny (second youtube link). This is Tabitha, my partner, putting wind into the chest cavity of another body...dead body. Having this video in black and white really worked well in my opinion. Especially because of the texture of her jacket and the eeriness feel of the shadow along with the bones. The angle also helped create an interesting composition that throws off the viewer at first. I think its difficult at times to make a decision/selection as a group of the size we had worked in. However, it went smoother than I thought. For the most part we agreed on the definite yes pile and same as we went back and filtered through the maybe and no pile. It took some discussion, questioning, and explaining between the group. So overall it was a laid back process. The main issue was that as a whole we were just denying actions because they didn't seem realistic at first but after we went back through the pile they were very likely to be played out.
