MY DOG SKIP
These two images (above and below) were for a drawing hw assignment for Natalie's intro drawing. We had to pick a movie scene that made us cry, pause the screen, and draw the image as well as the plane (phone, laptop etc screen) the sad moment was paused at. Very fun....and emotional!
Here the link....if you feel like crying????

Title: Day-Rive
The painting above (acrylic) was our final assignment for advanced painting. I really stayed away from abstract qualities throughout this class so I really wanted too attempt to achieve abstraction. So I took an old image of myself in a mirror and created the shapes from my blurry surroundings. The color pallet was based off of a famous art piece we had to select: Lady Sarah Bunbury Sacrificing to the Graces by Joshua Reynolds. BRUCE SPRINGSTEIN: Colored pencil (above) HUMAN FIGURE: Pencil + Colored pencil (right) not finished | The painting above (also acrylic) was done using the technique of using a palette knife. We were instructed to mix the colors as little as possible: trying to create color by placing other colors next to each other on the actual surface of the art work. Achieving the correct sense of color was difficult for me. This was also done by staring into a mirror as my face was lit with a light (which had a green light bulb). To the left is a contour drawing that was done as we watched the introduction to Space Balls. We would play video clip and pause. Each pause we got 15 minutes to draw what we saw. I really enjoyed this project!!! Take a look......very intense and amazing!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dZveoBfiww |
